SandwYch Recognized as Top 10 Startup in MassChallenge Competition

Austin (Nov. 28, 2022) SandwYch, a Texas-based healthtech startup helping families navigate the challenges of caring for their aging loved ones, is honored to be recognized as one of the top 10 startups in the MassChallenge AI and Security Mentorship Program. The program awards companies for their innovative solutions to some of the world’s most complex challenges.

SandwYch was founded by gerontologist and entrepreneur Amy Laine. The subscription-based digital platform brings advocates and experts in care coordination, social work resources, and mental health together to create a supportive online village for caregivers and their loved ones.

“We are thrilled to be recognized in the top 10 of more than 100 startups that completed the MassChallenge program this year,” said Amy Laine, Founder SandwYch. “By the year 2030, there will be more than 70 million Americans ages 65 and older. Many will need some form of care. Our goal at SandwYch is to prepare families for a future that allows caregivers, and their loved ones to live their best life.”

SandwYch’s “Guided Group” offering is a self-paced curriculum that helps families create a care plan that supports both the care recipient and the caregiver. In addition to online lessons, “Guided Group” offers live zoom sessions in small groups where people can talk about care coordination, resources, emotions, and any other topics they believe are important to their caregiving journey.
